Silver N-(diisopropylthiophosphoryl)thiourea derivatives of general formula Ag[RC(S)-N-P(S)(OiPr)2] (R = C5H11N, C5H6N2 or C10H7NH2 (naphthylamine))
were synthesized and characterized. The complexes were used for the preparation of spherical (17-20nm diameter) HDA-capped silver nanoparticles by their decomposition in hot hexadecylamine (HDA). The silver complex of 1-naphthylamine Ag[C10H7NH2-C(S)-N-P(S)(OiPr)2]
was applied for the deposition of thin Ag layers by the aerosol-assisted chemical vapor deposition (AACVD).[i]
