Solid crystalline Mn(anthranilate)2 was synthesized and characterized: thermal analysis showed that anthranilate complex was fairly volatile below 250°C and decomposed below 500oC. Mn(anthranilate)2 was pyrolysed in open air and in sealed tube at different temperatures, and the resulting powder product examined by XRD, SEM, EDAX and FTIR. It was founf that Mn anthranilate complex yielded different Mn oxides under different pyrolysis conditions.
Mn(anthranilate)2 which is a metalorganic complex with metal ion directly
bonded with both N and O atoms, was proposed as a precursor candidate for the growth of manganese oxynitride coatings by MOCVD. Mn(anthranilate)2 was applied for the growth of carbonaceous MnO Coating by MOCVD,
the electrochemical and charge transport properties were studied.[[i]]
