Manganese nitrate Mn(NO3)3

Mn(NO3)3 for LaSrMnOx by electrostatic spray deposition

Manganese nitrate Mn(NO3)3 dissolved in water, in combination with lanthanum nitrate and strontium acetate solutions, was applied  as Mn precursor for the deposition of (La0.85Sr0.15)0.95MnO3-δ films on an yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) substrates by the electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) technique. The surface morphology of (La0.85Sr0.15)0.95MnO3-δ films was strongly influenced by the precursor solution flow rate and deposition temperature; LSM films were nanostructured and had hexagonal phase, consisting of crystallites of 60−75 nm on average after thermal treatment at 600-900°C temperatures, as was shown by powder XRD analysis.
