Pentakis(trifluorophosphine)iron Fe(PF3)5

Pentakis(trifluorophosphine)iron  Fe(PF3)5 ( M =) is pale yellow solid, melting at 45 °C, subliming at 30 °C in vacuum, decomposing at temperatures > 270 °C.

Pentakis(trifluorophosphine)iron is synthesized by the reaction of iron diiodide with copper in the presence of trifluorophosphine: FeI2 + 2 Cu + 5 PF3 Fe(PF3)5 + 2 CuI

             Pentakis(trifluorophosphine)iron  Fe(PF3)5 was reported to be applied for the deposition of metallic Fe layers by CVD.[]
