Hexakis(trifluorophosphine)chromium Cr(PF3)6
Hexakis(trifluorophosphine)chromium Cr(PF3)6 is a colorless volatile crystalline diamagnetic solid subliming at 30°C/10-3 Torr. It has been prepared by high-pressure replacement reaction between dibenzenechromium with trifluorphosphine: Cr(η6-C6H6)2 + 6 PF3 → Cr(PF3)6 + 2 C6H6 . The physical and chemical properties of Cr(PF3)6 are similar to those of chromium hexacarbonyl Cr(CO)6 (see below).
Cr(PF3)6 have been reported to be useful as CVD precursor depositing Cr metal films at temperatures 200-300°C. [899, 900
