SODIUM-YTTRIUM ALKOXIDES

Trisodium-yttrium hexakis(trifluoroisopropoxide) Na3Y(OCH(CF3)2)6

Trisodium-yttrium hexakis(trifluoroisopropoxide) Na3Y(OCH(CF3)2)6 (M =) has been synthesized (as thf adduct YNa3[OCH(CF3)2]6(THF)3) by metathesis reaction between YCl3 and sodium 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propoxide Na[OC(CF3)2] and characterizedby FT-IR, NMR (1H, 13C, 19F),  TGA and mass spectrometry. The complex was reported to be volatile - sublimable (with loss of THF ligand, but retention of the stoichiometry between the Na and Y metals ) and is therefore potentially applicable as Na-Y single source MOCVD precursor[i]
