Zirconium alkylcyclopentadienyls hydrides alkyls, f.e. h5-C5H4R)Zr(H)(nBu) , were consdidered as potential CVD precursors.
They can be obtained by controlled decompositions of some zirconium alkylcyclopentadienyls alkyls, whereas alkyl group is losing alkene via β-H elimination process): (h5-C5H4R)Zr(nBu)2 → (h5-C5H4R)Zr(H)(nBu) + H2C=CH(CH2CH3)
